We are the women of St. Bede Episcopal Church. We are of all ages, ethnic origins and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are working mothers, grandmothers, homemakers, career women, single, married, widowed, and divorced women. All women are welcome.
As Episcopal Church Women (ECW), we are keepers of the Christian faith who joyfully bear the light and hope of Jesus Christ to all. We worship together and celebrate our diversity as we build and strengthen our community. We take ministries that the Lord gives us to do and do them joyfully. Our ECW brings women of the parish together for worship, fellowship and gathering of ideas and planning community outreach.
“Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them.” Romans 12:6
"To Love and Serve the Lord in Our Community and the World."
Our ECW Prayer
Almighty God, we pray that You will bless our work in mission and ministry in the world. Help us to pray fervently, labor diligently and give liberally to make known the power of your love given through your son Jesus Christ. Let us not forget the lessons from the past nor fear the challenges of the future. Anoint us with your grace and shine in our hearts as we reflect your light throughout the world.

Our Community Outreach Projects
Our main project this year has been on the St. Petersburg Community Pre-School. There are 85 children, ages 3-5 who attend this school. They are from indigent families who have lost their jobs, are down on their luck for various reasons. We work closely with the Director of the School, Ms. Mary Gray who identifies needs as they arise and we try to fulfill them along with major holidays. We also provide food items year round for two of our sister churches, St. Giles, and St. Bartholomew's Food Pantry. The boxes are at the rear of our church to collect the food our parishioners donate.
Future improvements to our property!
Each year the St. Bede ECW provides Easter baskets to the preschoolers and their families.
